Description:
This training session provides an in-depth overview of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protection in the workplace, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.132 and 1910.134 & 1926.651, 1926.201). Participants will learn about the different types of PPE, proper selection, use, maintenance, and employer responsibilities. The session will also focus on respiratory protection, including hazard assessment, respirator selection, fit testing, and employee training requirements.

Training Goals:

  • Understand the OSHA requirements for PPE and Respiratory Protection.
  • Identify workplace hazards that require PPE and respiratory protection.
  • Learn proper PPE selection, use, and maintenance to ensure worker safety.
  • Explain the components of a respiratory protection program.
  • Demonstrate the correct donning and doffing procedures for PPE and respirators.
  • Understand fit testing and medical evaluation requirements for respirator use.
  • Promote a safety culture through proper hazard recognition and compliance.
