Alive at 25 – 4 Hour Course – $75

Alive at 25 – Six Hour Defensive Driving Course – $95

Wake County has an age limit of under 21 and Cleveland County is under 19 to take this course.

This program has also been approved by the Mecklenburg County Court System for eligible pending traffic infractions. To receive these benefits you must complete the course before your next court date. Please confirm the benefits of a “Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC)” with your insurance company or attorney.

4-Hour Defensive Driving Course (English and Spanish) – $75 

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2022, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE 8-HOUR ADD CLASS IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED THIS 4-HOUR CLASS IN THE PAST 3 YEARS!

This course offers an opportunity for drivers to receive a PJC eligible for traffic infractions like speeding and red-light violations. Students learn essential defensive driving techniques that can reduce collision-related costs, injuries, and fatalities. The four sessions include:

  • Rules, Regulations, and Responsibilities
  • Driving Conditions
  • Unsafe Driving Behaviors
  • Aggressive Driving

 

Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving (ADD 5th Edition) 8-Hour Course (English and Spanish) – $100

This is a highly participatory 8-hour class that assesses the individual’s driving behavior, and then involves the students in developing an action plan to improve driving behavior and personal responsibility. A driver’s behavior is a reflection of their attitude. Students are directed into understanding how their driving results from choices they make and that the responsibility of safe driving is their own. Appropriate violations for this course include:

  • Excessive Speeds
  • Passing a Stopped School Bus
  • Careless and Reckless Driving
  • Driving While License Revoked

DDC- 8 Hour Driving Class

This course teaches students to recognize and respond to hazards, and to employ coping techniques to handle:

  • Speeding
  • Distracted driving
  • Impaired driving
  • Aggressive and fatigued driving
  • various traffic and road conditions

 

Chronic Offender 8 Hour

This is an advanced, behavior-based course, developed to educate and reduce prolonged recidivism among chronic traffic violators. This course is recommended for drivers with poor driving behaviors or egregious traffic offenses who need a catalyst for a positive change.

 

Chronic Offender/Willful Endangerment – 12 Hour – $250

Drivers who have completed the 8-hour training course within three years would be eligible for this course.

Specialized training for drivers whose actions demonstrate a wanton disregard for the safety of others. Appropriate violations include:

  • careless and reckless driving
  • Speeding in excess of 80mph
  • DWLR
  • Death by vehicle
  • Racing
  • Aggressive driving
  • Failure to yield involving serious bodily injury
  • Passing stopped school bus
  • Friday, 8am-5pm and Saturday, 8am-12pm

Students will receive certificates at the end of class!
