The Safety and Health Council of North Carolina is introducing a new program to address the needless injuries and deaths caused by dangerous drivers. You know these drivers – they are a statistic waiting to happen who pose significant risk to the community whenever they get behind the wheel. Reckless choices result in deaths on North Carolina roads. With this new program, it is now time for drivers who disregard the safety of others to spend two days seriously focused on correcting their behavior.
- Customized training for drivers whose actions disregard the safety of others
- Behavior modification for individuals with a history of traffic convictions
- Two 6-Hour intensive, interactive sessions requiring a commitment to change
- Participants will teach selections (e.g. Move Over Law, Stopping Distance, Distracted Driving) from the NCDMV Driver Handbook back to the class
- Students must pass a test on their knowledge, attitude, class participation and presentation of the assignments from the Driver Handbook
- This class is for drivers who have previously completed the 8-Hour DDC-Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving course
- Chronic Offender/WILLFUL ENDANGERMENT should be required for egregious traffic offenses including speeding in excess of 80mph, racing, and aggressive driving
- Taught only by experienced law enforcement and education professionals holding National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course – Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving certification
- Class fee: $250
