| If musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are increasing your company's costs and affecting your bottom line, it's time to take a solutions-driven approach to ergonomics. Expanding on the National Safety Council's Ergonomics: Managing for Results program, this one day workshop provides "hands-on" practice in identifying ergonomic risk within the workplace, uncovering the "root cause" issues to problem jobs, generating the most effective solutions, and justifying the controls. Work with an ergonomics expert to develop your problem solving skills, learn how to apply basic job analysis techniques, apply a team-based evaluation process, devise the most practical solutions, and justify the controls for your business strategy. Participants are encourage to bring video tape footage of a job or work task from their own work environment to use for workshop exercises and "hands-on" practice for the techniques discussed. Prior ergonomics knowledge is not required to successfully complete this course. Who Should Attend?
This course is designed to supplement the NSC's Ergonomics: Managing for Results curriculum. Previous attendance of the course is not required to attend this workshop, but it is recommended to assist you in establishing a comprehensive ergonomics management system for your organization. |
