Safety Creationism, Evolution or the Big Bang?
Growing Your Safety Program in a “healthy way”
Business revenues are off, layoffs have ravaged the staffing, and budgets are slashed. Frankly, you’re happy to still have a job, right? The mere thought of asking for training time for safety makes you cringe. All of the hard work that was put into your program has paid off. Incidents are down. Injuries are down in frequency and severity, and your workforce is now comprised of the cream of the crop, the best and brightest. The safety program is running on cruise control……..or is it? Assuming that your program is going to maintain itself without periodic evaluation, assessment, and adjustments is just waiting for the evolution to happen. Hoping that the “Big Bang” is just a theory? Or that the “breaking news” event, the “game changer” will never happen? Without nurturing evolution, the most likely catalyst for your program will be the Big Bang. Creationism is not the most cost effective way to manage a safety program either. Adapting the program to your needs, may be the solution. We discuss options to the issues during this presentation.
