Defensive Driving Courses for North Carolina Traffic ViolationsThere are 19 Judicial Districts In 52 North Carolina counties that allow traffic violators to complete a National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course in exchange for a reduction in penalty. The rules and procedures for completion vary with each county. Twenty-six (26) Community Colleges participate in the Defensive Driving Program.
