Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
Instructor Development Course
The first five minutes following an injury--and the immediate response from those on the scene--can mean the difference between life and death. The National Safety Council's Automated External Defibrillation (AED) instructor course is your tool for training employees, EMS, healthcare providers, athletic trainers, and emergency response teams who may be required to use an automated external defibrillation device. This course can only be taught by certified instructors and you must register with the National Safety Council to begin delivering training. During this course you will learn new methods that involve, influence, and facilitate adult learning while refining your teaching skills. The AED course topics include:
- Scene control
- Patient assessment
- CPR integration
- AED application
- Protocol adherence
